Hi, I’m Akash Bachhar, originally from Kolkata, India. I’m currently working as an Operations Officer at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), where I manage control room operations, bulk loading operations (tank trucks and tank wagons), pipeline transfers, and supervise ship unloading operations of hazardous gases as a Boarding Officer. I’m also actively involved in driving digital transformation and implementing robotics initiatives at my location.
With a background in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Durgapur, I’ve built my journey around a deep-rooted passion for engineering innovation. From a young age, I’ve been fascinated by space exploration, humanoid robotics, mechatronics, and computer vision — not just as fields of study, but as tools to push the boundaries of what’s possible. Today, that same drive fuels both my professional work and personal projects, where I blend mechanics, electronics, and AI to create systems that are intelligent, interactive, and impactful.
I previously worked as a Visiting Researcher at Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CMERI) and as a Summer Intern at R&DE, DRDO .
Outside work, I explore technologies like Full Stack Development, AI, AR, and Game Dev to build experimental tools and ideas. I’m also an avid reader, designer, amateur photographer, traveler, and gamer—and you’ll often find me on a cricket field or lost in a good book.
