Akash Bachhar

Robotics Engineer

I’m Akash Bachhar, an engineer driven by a deep curiosity for how complex systems work—and how they can be made smarter. I currently work as an Executive Engineer at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) , where I handle Operations, Quality Control, and Maintenance at one of India’s largest LPG terminals. Alongside core plant responsibilities, I actively contribute to digital transformation initiatives and robotics-driven solutions, focusing on improving safety, efficiency, and operational intelligence.

With a background in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Durgapur, I’ve built my journey around a deep-rooted passion for engineering innovation. From a young age, I’ve been fascinated by space exploration, humanoid robotics, mechatronics, and computer vision — not just as fields of study, but as tools to push the boundaries of what’s possible. Today, that same drive fuels both my professional work and personal projects, where I blend mechanics, electronics, and AI to create systems that are intelligent, interactive, and impactful.

I previously worked as a Visiting Researcher at Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CMERI) and as a Summer Intern at R&DE, DRDO .

Outside work, I explore technologies like Full Stack Development, AI, AR, and Game Dev to build experimental tools and ideas. I’m also an avid reader, designer, amateur photographer, traveler, and gamer—and you’ll often find me on a cricket field or lost in a good book.
